Just took my DAT yeasterday and am very depressed. I studied for two months 8 hrs a day from Kaplan and TopScore and was getting the following:

B 4 the test: 😳
PAT 19-20
Bio 18-20
ochem 21-25
gchem 17-18
math 13-15
reading 18-20

Now here is the sad story, on the real thing I got:🙁
AA 18
TS 20
PAT 17
bio 20
gchem 18
ochem 20
reading 17
math 16

please help with any advice, my GPA in science is (3.42); non-scieince (3.1) overall (3.3) at a good university. To retake the exam would really be a pain and not until the end of November which I fear may be to late? Should I procede with secondaries? 😕 Thanks

I really feel that there is something screwy about most of the recent QR scores. I took mine Aug 30 and knew that I was very prepared. I was concerned, however, that all of the people who had just taken it had really low scores only in QR. Everyone who took it just before me got 16s or 17s and I mean people with AA and TS of 20+. When I took QR myself last Thursday it felt like a breeze and I couldn't believe that it was actually more basic and simple than all the practice tests that I had taken (19s-26s). I finished 3/4 of the problems easily and had plenty of time to go back to the difficult ones. I was blown away to find out that I got a 16 (that means missing 20 out of 40 problems). My initial reaction (which still persists) was, "No way! There is something wrong with the scoring!" My Scores were:
PAT 24
QR 16
RC 21
BIO 20
GC 25
OC 21
TS 21
AA 21
Besides PAT, QR felt the easiest so I'm very unsure about their scoring. To add to this a buddy of mine ran out of time on his QR, guessed on the last several and didn't even get to guess on some. He said every question was hard and he was given a 16. Hmmmm. Anyone feel the same?

seriously, can't you have them verify the answers????? They can't just spit out a number and say go home. There has to be some type of appeal process.
