Hey everyone this is my first time Ive been on this site, and I really wish that I would have found this site earlier. Without further adue, I took the dat sept 1st and did very poorly, On the practices of the PAT I was getting 20s but I got a 15 on the actual. Its really true that the angle ranking is MUCH harder on the real deal. I was wondering if any can PLEASE HELP me for tips on how to study differently or whatever you can think of to help me out for the next time. Esp. with QR and Bio. The only subject that I feel like I did fairly well was RC- 20.

get Topscore for science and DAT Achiever for the PAT. DAT Achiever's science section is much much harder than the real DAT but if you actually study it and can do those questions, then you'll do well on the real thing.

First of all, don't be down on yourself, you did an awesome job! I know that sometimes it seems that everyone on here is getting 24's on the DAT, but that's not necessarily true. You've already taken the test, you know what its like, you know what to expect. You've got at least 90 days to restudy and try again. The best thing to do would be go over your notes and reread your prep books. Try to focus your time on subjects that you know you have trouble with. If you know genetics like the back of your hand, don't spend so much time on that. If you're needing help with the PAT (like we all do), the best thing to do is practice, practice, practice! One tip I got from a dental student for the PAT is to take different shaped objects around the house and try to imagine or draw the different keyholes it could fit through from all the different angles. Then take a flashlight and shine it against the object. Look at the shadow and see if it matches what you had originally imagined. I hope this helps. Just make sure you keep putting the time in, keep up the good work, and good luck!
