Recently took my DAT, here are my scores.

Bio - 23
Chem - 25
Ochem - 19
PAT - 20
Reading - 18
QR - 20
AA was a 21 and my TS was a 22

My science gpa is a 3.84 and my cumulative gpa is a 3.88. I’ve been a dental assistant at a clinic and have been involved with various other volunteer organizations. I also was Vice President of my fraternity. I’m a Texas resident and was seeing if anyone had any advice on out of state schools to apply to, along with chances at admissions in Texas. Thanks guys.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Apply to Texas schools. Apply to Ohio State, UNLV, any other schools that are state schools but then offer in-state tuition soon after. You have solid stats, but I'd be blown away if you didn't get into any of the Texas schools. Your DAT TS is awesome and your GPA is wonderful.

As a general rule, I'd maybe apply to one or two "safety" private school that is in a location you'd genuinely like to go to. If you hate cold weather, don't apply in the north (so many people do it, it's stupid). I'd apply to maybe 8 schools, 10 if your'e not feeling confident, and pretty much all of them should be state schools that offer in-state tuition after first year.

Good luck!
