Hello,

It seems like a lot of people are curious about the new QR section. I took my DAT last week, and here are what I encountered on the "new 2018" QR section.

1. I did not get a single trigonometry questions. Seems like they are not testing you on QR anymore.
2. 5~8 Quantitive comparison questions.
3. Lots of Probability & Statistics questions.
4. Simple Algebra & geometry questions.

I might have gotten a rare exam without any trig questions, or DAT is no longer testing on trig. If anyone has taken the DAT recently and had trig questions, feel free to post it below!

What did you use to study for QR? Thanks!

First of all, I have pretty strong math background, but I decided to follow Ari's guide and watched all the youtube video playlist. But I realized most of them were reviews, except those comparison and stats questions. So I focused on those two topics on youtube (probability, permutation, standard dev, GRE questions etc..) This took around 2 weeks and I moved onto DAT Math destroyer 2017 version. I took test 1~6 and moved on to Bootcamp for more practice. Also, I did bootcamp QR exams like 2~3 times. If I answered any questions wrong or was iffy, I made sure I understood the explanations and wrote them down in my "QR notebook". During the weekend, I would review my notebook, which contained all my wrong/guessed answers.

I personally think Bootcamp prepared for the QR section very well. I would do them 2~3 times to fully understand all the concepts! If you have any questions, inbox me!

My break down is right here: DAT Breakdown: AA:23 TS:24
