Took the DAT yesterday, and I am not sure what I should do at this point.
Here are my scores
PAT: 22
RC: 23
QR: 21
BIO: 17
GC: 19
OC: 19
AA: 20
TS: 18
Ok, a 20/18/22 doesn't look too bad at first sight, but my 17 in Bio will definitely hurt me. Also, I have all of my science sections below 20 (but I am mainly pissed at my Bio)
Bio: I have studied the destroyer in and out. I knew everything there is to it. Read it 5 times, thoroughly. Also, I have studied all of the achiever problems. The questions I had were so random that I was laughing in front of my screen during the Bio test. Who cares how exactly the pellagra works, what the pernicious anemia is. You really need to know how each vitamins/minerals will prevent which kind of diseases. And I am NOT talking about the very basic vitamins/minerals. There are several kind of B vitamins - know them all. Even stuff like K, D, etc.
Also, know eveything about tropisms, and photoperiodism ( I am sure I got that wrong).
If I were to do it all over again, I would use cambell, Schaum, and Cliff.
Oh, and know what gonad and myotome is.
And study the Kranz structure.
Math: No crazy trig/probability question at all. I have studied the SAT math book and it was more than enough. Lot's of word questions, but they are not bad.
GC: if you are using the destroyer, only do the conceptual problems. I had about 2 calculation problems, and even those were easy calculations (simple addition or multiplication). don't waste your time doing the long/hard calculation problems. Pretty much everything is covered in the Kaplan/destroyer/achiever.
OC: this is my weak area, so I don't have much to say. The problems were easy but that doesn't mean I did well.
PAT: Not as hard as achiever. More like Kaplan tests.
