My QR is really really bad, but I calculated that I would of needed a 19 on it to raise my academic average to 21. But I could be wrong. As you can see I terrible at math. I was scoring 18s on the achievers QR so I felt I was prepared. I was just really burnt out by the end. I didn't even come close to finishing it.

I know my scores are pretty good, but my question is, is it true that some schools have a required minimum score that each section must be above? or do they just look at AA? I know I'll have some explaining to do about my QR but will that low of a score immediately deny me an interview?

Its also funny to note that a 19 AA last year is a higher percentile then at 20 AA this year.

My school of choice is the University of Florida.

For starters, nice job! You may be able to get away with your QR score...I would contact the admissions officer at the university of florida and see what he/she thinks. I've heard that some schools have a cutoff but I'm not sure if florida does or not. You also have a good GPA and a low QR (from what I understand) is not good, but its not emphasized as much as the sciences.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the compliments. I wouldn't be opposed to taking it again, but Its just a lot of money. If my QR is really going to cost me interviews, I will take it again in a heartbeat.

Mind sharing your full achiever scores.

I took my first achiever test today and did fairly well, although I did find the orgo section to be a little odd. I would have expected more reactions..

Really solid scores across the board. I wouldn't worry about re-taking, unless you don't get in this cycle, at which point it might be a good idea.

I didn't do any RC but I did think the achiever help me tremendously.

Some people asked me how I studied, here it is:
Im a microbio major so I already knew a lot on the cellular level but I really had to study the ecology and phylum stuff. I did take the tests at: http://www.testprepreview.com/dat_practice.htm
to narrow down weak subjects, such as the lymph system, and circulatory system(Ex. Names of Artery branches), but looking back there was only one immunology question and no circulatory questions.

I used the old blue kaplan book and only read the bio section. I read the entire thing from friday till last night so everything was really fresh. The gen chem was what I was struggling in but it turned out well. Orgo. is, sorry to sound condescending, but it is easy for me and I literally only did the achievers sections.

I actually bought the achiever sunday night and took test 1 on monday and test 2 on tuesday. I took the natural science section this morning when I woke up. I really liked the achiever, It was incredible hard and every test I took I saw something new. I would definitely buy it. The PAT will blow your mind. Didn't get a chance to take the third.

I've gotta say, good job! You did well on your scores...and you faced my biggest fear...the DAT.

Do you remember how many trig questions you encountered?

Just hang in there and good luck!

good job on the DAT, too bad about that one section but hopefully it won't harm you too much. you do know your stuff!

UF's minimum is 15. i'm not sure if its AT 15 or below 15. heard they were pretty strict with the 15 rule so you may want to get ready to be accepted by another school...
