Some schools do have cutoffs. Call and ask before applying but your other scores are awesome. That may be the highest RC I've seen. Great work!

If there was an easy way to tell them your other scores I'm sure you would be fine.

Hey how'd you prep for RC?! Awesome scores.
Hey! Thank you~ 🙂

Idk if I'll be of much help because for RC prep all I did was read 3 articles a day (for about 3 weeks) from Scientific American. I think I just got really lucky because I was shocked @ how simple the passages and questions were. :wideyed: I personally really like the search & destroy method! That's what I used~

Congratulations qkrdpsk,

Your scores are outstanding and with a good science GPA you should not have a problem getting interview invites and acceptances. The QR section is typically the least looked at section and you are well above the cutoff for the vast majority of schools. Your science and reading scores are what dental schools focus on. Your reading score will shine through and get noticed by the schools. If you have a certain school you want to attend it is always best to check their stats for acceptance or call them directly.

Wishing you the best!

Nancy

Thank you so much! My Bio & GC scores were 17 & 15, respectively, the first time I took the DAT.. DAT destroyer really helped me improve my scores, especially in those sections. 🙂

GREAT JOB! I took the DAT on the same day as you omg 🙂 I am no expert but I wouldn't worry too much about the QR since that's often the least important section on the entire test. An AA of 22 is an amazing score, and I'm sure that you're getting in somewhere if you also have a great GPA, extracurriculars, and letters of recommendation! GREAT JOB ON THE READING ESPECIALLY (sooo envious)! Best of luck to you during the application cycle, and let me know which dental school you ultimately choose! 😉

Thank you 🙂 I saw your breakdown! You did awesome as well. I will definitely keep you posted! Good luck to you & Happy New Year. :soexcited:

AMAZING scores!! Definitely don't sweat the QR because your AA is still great. I have read your posts on using Destroyer and reading Scientific American, but do you have any other tips on how you changed your study habits between the first and second exam? You really made a huge improvement!

Thank you thank you 🙂 Honestly, i don't really have any tips because I simply just slacked off the first time... I had made a study schedule and fell behind then got really unmotivated and tried cramming as much as possible. I barely touched the destroyer the first time around. When I got my scores, it was a wake up call. 😱 For the retake, I made a schedule on Excel and followed it as best as I can minus a few days where I was really busy w/work, volunteering, life lol. 🙂
