So I'm extremely upset with my scores and I cannot begin to describe to you how weird and difficult the biology and PAT were on this test. Along with the math. Here it is:

17 PAT
17 RC
17 QR
17 Bio
21 G chem
20 Orgo
19 TS
18 AA

Does anyone out there think I have a chance of getting in anywhere, especially NYU?!?!?!? I have studied about 4 months for this exam and pulled of 12-13 hour study days in the past month. I was getting 18-21AA on practice tests.

The G chem was fair
The Orgo was basically 20 reaction questions. (its not that crazy don't worry)
Reading (1st passage simple, the nest 2 it was like reading a 1000 page novel)
math (wooooooooowwww!!!!!!!! about 70% word problems)
BIO had about 3 pictures on it pointing to cell parts and you are asked there functions.

Please anybody out there have some advice for me because I'm torn to pieces now. I knew everything there is to know but I'm not a good standardized test taker I guess.

Did anyone here of anyone getting into NYU with these scores? My GPA is 3.4 overall and 3.1 sciences (

) Can anyone give me some advice and tell me if they know anyone who was accepted with similar scores???

Thanks 🙁

Go to www.predents.com and in the upper right corner there is a place where you can do a member search...enter in those scores and see who was accepted 🙂

I looked real quick and it seems that most people who were accepted either had similar gpa with higher DAT or similar DAT with higher gpa but there were also a few people with lower gpa and DAT. But remember, this is only a small fraction of applicants. If you have your heart set on getting in this cycle, I would schedule a retake to offset your lower sgpa, otherwise I would wait and see what happens with interviews and go from there.

hm it's tough.. NYU is pretty random i think but i had similar scores as u last year and didn't get accepted..then again i am a cali resident. most state schoosl favor their state residents..

if i were u i'd schedule a retake..u may make it to the interview, but when ti comes down to it, there will be a more competitive applicant which they will choose in the end. but great job completing ur first DAT. u studied alot but u should have done better i think..4 months 12-13 hours is plenty of time! what were ur sources? cuz using one alone won't cut it.
