Well It's finally over. Im pretty happy with my scores...math is less than impressive but I can live with it. I just want to thank Dr. Romano and Nancy Steen...they came through for me when I was cramming last minute and DAT destroyer is really a good thing despite skeptics. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Im not trying to brag about scores, because some of you who know me on here know that I have a lower-end GPA...I just hope that people who dont have that 4.0 GPA dont get discouraged and give up. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Bio - 20
Gen Chem - 23
Organic - 29
TS - 23
PAT - 19
QR - 15 :scared:
RC - 19
AA - 21

Great scores...So I'm guessing the QR is as terrible as everyone says it is?

Wow...nice scores!!! How did you feel about bio? fair, challenging, ridiculous? What is your bio background...and what did you use to prep? Thanks.

Nice work buddy! What did your AA come out to be? I think the only thing working against you is that 15 but if you have a decent GPA you should be OK. Plus don't forget to call each school you are applying to check & see if they have a cut off. Otherwise, fanf***ingtastic scores! Good job bro & good luck!

good job! just a matter of time until those interviews and acceptances roll in 👍

Thanks guys very much for the comments...I def. appreciate it.

Um, pretty much ya the QR sucks. Its not so much hard as there is simply not enough time. And im kind of a slow calculator as it is, not to mention its at the end and you're a little fatigued. I only had 2 weeks for real prep on this test and QR was the one thing I didnt really look into as much.

I thought bio was slightly challenging....most of the questions were straight forward, but there were some challenging/tricky questions, and I think I guessed wrong on the ones I was on the fence with. My intro bio background is pretty weak, seeing as I took Intro Bio in highschool when I didnt really care about school (3+ years ago)...but Ive done well on other bio classes I have taken in College (Cell bio, Genetics, etc)

I used Kaplan Blue book to go over first the main information first, then I used destroyer to test that knowledge. I made about 800 flash cards for myself in the past 2 weeks which really helped.

Thanks a ton! I added the AA after you quoted the post and the AA was 21. I will check on the cut off thing, but honestly I wont be retaking the test unless every school asks me to retake it. Im just glad its over and I did well on the sciences.

haha, thanks...I sure hope so!!

Awesome Ochem score!! How were the chemistry's? Pretty conceptual or a lot of calculations and rxns.? Also.. was you RC pretty straightfoward or a lot of "author's tone" questions? THanks! (P.S.= I'm not asking for questions, just format, so I can study correctly!)

I think you are good to go.

Thanks, we will see though...nothing is guaranteed in this process

good job 92camaro. 👍 solid scores especially orgo

Thank you... I actually really liked orgo so that probably helped out.

This is you. 😀 :hardy:

This is me. :scared: 😕

Congrats!

Haha, dont worry 24 hours ago I was :scared: 😕 too. Its all over quickly.

21/23/19 = Camaro's going to D school! 👍 F-yeah bro! Feels good doesn't it. Good luck man, I am pulling for you!

Man do I hope your right! I definitely looked up to guys like you, Armorshell, In Her Drawer and others after seeing some of your scores/GPAs...made me realize what I needed to do 👍 But heck ya it feels good! 😀 Thanks for the good word and good luck in D-school next year!

Thanks...Chemistry's I found not bad...Calculations weren't as bad as I was expecting (I was expecting Achiever type calculations). RC was actually a little harder than I expected...there were some more subjective questions In my opinion, and the articles were so-so. Not horrible, but not all that easy.

Congrats!

I using Kaplan, Top Score and Achiever as review sources. The main thing i am focusing on is the Destroyer. I would love to come close to the scores you had in the Science section. 29 Orgo... that is incredible.
How strong were you in Orgo in college and aside from the Destroyer what else did you use for review?

Hey, thanks...I used a similar method...Kaplan Blue Book (not the class) to start off with, Top Score/Achiever for practice tests, and Destroyer to bring it home. I was pretty strong in Orgo outside of studying. I loved Orgo, and thought it was way better than gen chem. But I think if you go through Kaplan/Destroyer orgo and understand everything you will be fine.

Good job! And don't sweat that QR score.👍

Thank you...I wish the QR was a little higher, but overall I cant be too upset...Ill take my scores and run with em 😀 .

QR is the least important section by FAR. Unless the schools have an announced cut-off (and many do not), those stellar SNS scores will make up for it with room to spare.

Congratulations and good luck.

Congrats on those scores! Ochem is amazing. I dont think you have anything to worry about.

About a year and a half ago I got a whim to take the DAT, so I studied for approximately two weeks while my test application was processed and ended up with the following:

Bio: 20
Gen Chem: 20
Orgo: 24
Reading: 22
QR: 18
PAT: 16

TS: 21
AA:21

I didn't actually apply, partly because of the 16 and partly because I'm not entirely decided between dentistry and medicine, but just out of curiousty, would these scores combined with a 3.88 GPA (3.8 science gpa) stand a chance anywhere?
