I guess this is tuition only - not including the extra 10k or so for various "fees".

anyone know the top of the list for med schools?

67k ?!??!??!?
for out-of staters, yup.

silly expensive schools! i go to a cheap-o, nobody-knows-it-exists state school, baby. tuition is like $6,000/yr. considering my success so far in the application process, i'd say it's been a pretty good value! 🙂

I go to a really-cheap-o state school in Cali where tuition is $2500/year. And that's after the 20% tuition hike from last year. Damn proud of it too! 👍 👍

I think the 67k is only the first year. After that you are a colorado resident
I thought it was 57k for an out-of-stater at Colorado.

It's 67K for Colorado out-of-state, but only 11K for in-state.

oh my god. 67k? I can drive a Benz for that 😀

67K WITHOUT living expenses, I believe. So, it's more like 80K. 🙂

With that amount of money, I could buy myself a third world country and then give myself a medical license to practice there!

Because of state residency laws, Colorado is sneaky. You pay $67K for the first year and then $15K for the next 3 years because you're automatically a resident your second year. That averages out to $28K a year.

That's not too bad when you look at the average, but you're going to have to take out some serious unsubsidized private loans for that first year and those loans are going to be accruing interest the rest of med school and residency. Yikes! Overall though, that might be better than doing $48K a year as someplace else.
