It's tough to fill 23,200 new positions with <6K graduates/year, but then predicting the number of new jobs may be as accurate as predicting the weather.
 
Figured PA or NP would be number one. They seem to be the golden children of healthcare careers these days.
 
I question the validity only because they list dental hygiensts as number 5. The job outlook for hygiene is very poor right now. Not many jobs and low pay. I am a dental hygienist who is going to dental school because of this trend. And because I want to be a dentist, not a hygienist any longer.

Perhaps (paired with driving up the COA for our training) its all part of the master plan to funnel as many of us as possible into underserved areas to meet the rising demand from the ACA.
