I seem to struggle in this section and mt DAT is in a week, any suggestions? I mostly don't get it when there are angles as the side view when the top view appears as boxes. Also when dotted lines are interupted by blank spaces.
thanks

I just piece them together. Like I magine the end view is to the right of the object, and the front view is facing towards me. Then I look at the answers to see if the others make sense. Only problem I have is the keyholing. Some of the questions on the barrons are freakin insane in that section. Angle ranking as well, I go nuts in the section.

Rich, be careful, many of Barrons PAT answers are wrong.

Make use of line/event/dimension matching method to eliminate all wrong answer(s) first. Next, figure out the location/structure of the solid/hidden lines given to confirm your answer if need be. Again, PAT is not something that can eaily be visualized using words/texts. There're both 2D and 3D explanations that come along with DAT Achiever Top-Front-End section. You should make use of this guide to strengthen those PA skills you still feel weak about. Own the PAT instead of letting it control you. 😎
