For all of you recent DAT takers - where you able to eliminate answer choices by counting lines?

I haven't taken it recently but from everything I've read by people that have, they've almost all indicated that counting lines will not work.

TFE is really tough to "learn". i would recommend you take some time and figure out how to visualize the image in 3D. it takes practice, but once you get it, it becomes easy. and imo, no, line counting was basically impossible on my DAT. also, even if you do line counting, sometimes one line is solid and the others dashed. then what, u guess? ehhhhhhhhhh.

This scares me. On CDP, TFE questions usually take me a bit longer to answer compared to the other sections, even pattern folding goes faster than TFE for me personally. For this reason, I wish the TFE questions were not toward the beginning of the PAT section. Does anyone here think it would be safe to skip the entire TFE section and do it last on the actual DAT?

My advice....once you finish all ten CPATs go to Achiever. I didn't use achiever because by the time I learned of it, I had a week to go. My PAT was harder than CPAT for TFE and Pattern Folding. I would do them all in order but if you have one you're stumped on, guess, mark and move on. Then hit it again at the end.
