Can someone tell me how accurate top score pro vs. Kaplan for an accurate gauge on how the real DAT should go. Thanks.

I took both the Kaplan course and bought Top Score. Both have been updated sufficiently to help you know what kinds of questions to study. Top Score is more similar to the real test on the PAT. I never saw any PAT test as hard as the actual one, however. There are many types of questions that can be asked, especially with Biology, so its hard to say whether kaplan or top score will help more with that. I found that the kinds of questions from Top Score in chemistry and QR were VERY similar to the actual DAT. You can't go wrong with Kaplan, though, at least for the DAT. However, I've heard bad stories from MCAT people.

I had the same result. I was scoring 18-20 on my practice tests for Top score and Kaplan and scored 23 on the actual test. You generally score higher on the actual test if you've been exposed to many types of questions. Good luck. 👍

Topscore is more accurate. You just add 2-3 points to your total AA and you have your AA on the real exam. I think topscore exams were very similar to the DAT. So, I just used the kaplan blue book 95 percent of the time for reading up on the sciences with some AP bio books I had from high school to score fairly well. Then I used Topscore mainly to simulate the exam.
This test isnt hard. I think anyone can do well, just put in the time. My sister had a 1490 SAT and a scored 21 with only one month of study. I, scoring around 1200s SAT, knew I wasnt as smart as her. So I put in 3 months and nearly three times the hours and scored a 22. So, anything can be done. Just believe in yourself and have confidence that you studied hard, therefore you should have no problem getting 20s. Remember, perserverance and you will succeed!!!

Good luck on the DAT,
Rich
