Hi guys,

I thought I would start a destressing thread that has a slightly different take than the other ones here so far...basically lets do a top _ ways to know the match has gotten to you...I will start off:

1. "You get a seizure everytime someone asks 'do you have any questions'"
2. "When your significant other reminds you its almost Valentine's day, you respond with 'of course I remember, 8 days before rank lists are due'"
...

remember, be true to your

HEART

3. You spend several minutes with total strangers debating the merits of Foot Locker vs. Mac and Cheese vs. MGH

4. You can't remember what you ate for breakfast, but can somehow rattle off the exact fellowship placement for your top 10 schools...

You send a Thank you card anytime someone talks to you.

You have ranked your favorite underwears

The NRMP website has issued a restraining order against you because of your frequentc changing of your rank list.

Somehow you have bought action hero figures of your favorite program directors.

...At a restaurant, when the waiter asked to take my order, I said that my first choice is the grilled salmon, my second choice is the veal cutlet and my third choice is (gasp, I hope it doesn't come to this) the baked chicken...

...I sent a letter to my girlfriend stating that I would be "honored and delighted" to be her valentine, and that I intend to "rank her VERY highly"...

...I’ve started posting regularly to StudentDoctor.net 🙂

I love this.............

I sent a thank you card to my husband for all his support through the interview-match season and state that he is and will always be my # number 1 choice 😍

awwweeeeeeee. That's really cute....and for some reason, although it's as sweet as southern style ice tea, I don't won't to vomit. Seriously, that's meant to be a compliment.

This isn't meant to be a joke: You start believing the entire match is some sort of sick game. You have fluctuations of mood with elation to despair as you imagine how it will all turn out on Match Day.

Last week, my brother had his first job interview (he's still in undergrad) at a place he really liked. So I advised him about how he should write a thank you letter, etc. So I was giving him ideas about things to include in the letter, among them the fact that he loved their "program" and that he was going to rank them #1. Needless to say, he was quite bewildered. 😳
