Can I get some feedback?

I'm feelin' pretty neat. I got like 100 more biology problems left, Destroyer is all complete (2x), I've read over Kaplan 2x. I haven't read over Cliff's 2x but I think I'm not going to do it anyway. Averaging like 17-19 on DatQVault.

TopScore 3 should be taken in a week or so before my exam on the 21st.

Let me know what else I can do. I still have 2 CDP's left, and 2 CDM's.

The following are a few of the questions I have no idea how to do; feedback appreciated 🙂

1)

Seriously? Who knows this?

I figured to go from pH7 to pH2, you'd need 10^5 more acid. Wrong here.

Absolutely no idea. I tried drawing a triangle on a coordinate XY plane...didn't work out.

Are we supposed to memorize that gross formula? This is pretty hard to do if you actually wanted to solve the whole thing out!

Last but not least. Isn't Secant just 1/Cosine? Thus, if Cosine 45 = root2/2, then why isn't secant 45 = 1/(root2/2), how in the world do they get that secant 45 = root2? I plugged this into my calculator and it also came out as root2 but just looking at the unit circle....I know all my values. All the others make sense except secant.

Topscore is a good predicator, but not the best learning tool. I think you're set to do well on the actual DAT.

1) Don't worry about it, it's questions like this in top score that made me waste my last week of bio study reading campbells and memorizing features/names of each class. Just know the basics (deutero vs proto/circulatory/digestive) and phylum name and you should be fine. I had 3 taxonomy questions on the test and they were no way as detailed as that 1.

2) No idea how they did it, but 20 ml 1 M HCl neutralizes 20 ml of NaOH. To get to ph 2 you need a concentration of approximately 1*10^-2 HCl (I'm ignoring the 10^-7 already there because its relatively small in comparison), adding another 20 ml 1M of HCl should get you this, giving you a total HCl added of 40 mL.

3) No idea

4) No real idea, but its clear the answer is gonna be B or C, I figured it was C just because there was going to be multiple terms with x^3

5) You got it right just have to simply further, Sqrt (2) = 1/(sqrt 2/ 2)

1/(sqrt 2/2 ) = 2 / sqrt 2 just mutiply top and bottom by sqrt 2 and you'll see its equivalent to just sqrt 2

Can't help you on any of those, but I just spent 10 minutes on number 1 and I couldn't find any information on specific classes within phyla in KBB, Cliffs, or DATQVault's tables. I had to wiki Trematoda and Monogenea.

Definitely don't waste your time dude. That's just a silly question.

Haha okay thanks guys. TopScore really puts these random questions in there sometimes.

Does anyone think that the bio question was fair game?
I searched "monogenea" in the online 8th Ed of Campbell/Reece, and a clear-cut chart named "Classes of Phylum Platyhelminthes" popped up.
