I have taken all three Bio test on TopScore and they all have details about taxonomic classes like a question about flame cells of class Turbellaria and a question about choanocytes in Porifera, etc.

Kaplan's book mentions only the phyla and their characteristics, not every class. Does the DAT test on specific classes or is TopScore just giving pointless hard questions on classes??

Really having a hard time trying to figure out what Bio stuff is on the DAT, so an answer is greatly appreciated.

Also If you have recently taken the DAT, did you have any questions that asked about classes or things more specific than phlya?

i specifically had no questions dealing with taxonomy, but topscore had a lot. i would say know your basics, the characteristics that identify each phyla, developmental patterns, etc. i thought cliffs ap bio was enough to go with, remember topscore has been using the same 3 versions of practice tests for like years now, so who knows how accurate they really are anymore. destroyer does a pretty good job of drilling you with taxonomy questions. if you need to supplement with anything try out your class notes or text.

bottom line, don't sweat it too much.

You should know about the choanocytes and the flame cells...
those are generalizations and wouldn't take more than a few hours to cover.
