FYI I'm taking the DAT next Saturday. I'll be in school and working so I won't be able to devote more than an hour during the week to studying for the DAT. That being said, I just took my first topscore test.........should I postpone my real DAT?

.......I've been studying little by little since November. I feel like I'm forgetting all the information as time has been passing! This makes me really nervous. Would you guys recommend postponing?

I feel like I'm in the same predicament. I haven't taken topscore yet, but I'm not scoring as high as I would like on other practice tests. That being said, take the DAT when you are ready. Postponing and doing well is better than rushing and doing terribly.

Absolutely postpone because just posting this thread shows you that you're not entirely ready. Ask yourself whether or not you are satisfied with these scores. After answering that question, then proceed to decide whether you're ready to take it.

You need MORE than just a week to prepare for the exam if you want to do well. Like the above post has mentioned, it's better to postpone it and score high instead of rushing through it. Invest a little bit more time and take more tests so you could get used to the timing.

Topscore is nearly identical to the actual exam in terms of difficulty (real DATis harder) and the kind of questions you'll be receiving. Do not fret. You will succeed if you put your heart in it. Don't let this stray you from taking it. Just a personal opinion

Here is a similar thread that started a few days back.

If you've been studying since November, and now your realizing that your forgetting some of the older stuffs, maybe its a good idea NOT to postpone because... well ur gonna forget more stuff.

The only way I would recommend you postpone is if you can devote 2-3 weeks AWAY from work, AWAY from school, and just put 100% effort into an intensive science Review.... otherwise, go take the test
