cant figure this out
in the following equation, what is the oxidizing agent?
PbO(s) + CO(g)------>Pb(s) + CO2(g)
A. PbO
B. CO
C. Pb
D. CO2
solution says CO---)CO2 + 2e;PbO is the oxidizing agent or the substance that accepts electrons and is reduced in an oxidation reduction rxn....i dont understand lol solution is talking CO doesnt really talk bout PbO in the rxn......also if the equation was in equillibrium would CO2 be oxidizing agent as well?
