Hey so I just took Topscore #1 Natural sciences, and I was just wondering how well other people do. I guess the bio had some confusing questions that i havent seen before, as did chem, so i ended up with 18's all across, and as the final. imma take the other sections today, but do you guys think im okay? Im taking it in less than two weeks!!!

19 QR now and an 18 PAT....i stopped 10 min early though. i was tired. PAT is a lot harder on here than Kaplan....the angle ranking i thought would be similar but its so much harder!!

Oh man...if you think Topscore is difficult, try DAT Achiever and you will have an aneurism. Anyway I hear people tend to generally do a few points better on the DAT than Topscore. BUt here are my scores.

i'm planning to take mine on wednesday. I have one more kaplan full length to go. I let you know how i do topscore in 2 days.
as far as my kaplan score goes, I've been getting AA of 19. basically all because of my RCT but my Gchem fluctuates the most.
don't worry, I'll be taking it in less than 2 weeks right there with you....

btw, i think rc is gonna be totally harder on the real thing cause this was kinda easy- word for word kinda stuff...

well, as far as RCT goes, I roadmap fast. I'm just not as fast to find the answers. I got like 17 on kaplan's final, which is not word to word from the passage. I hope the real thing is not way too harder than all these things. 🙁

I have a suggestion for bringing up your ochem score before you take the second one though: go over the reactions one more time, just flip pages of kaplan book, or review flashcards. It really helps🙂

WOW. If you got a 29 on the topscore RC then you will do GREAT on the real thing. I took the DAT a week ago and the RC is WAY easier than topscore. The passages were less complex and unlike topscore, you could answer most of the questions after one read through without scrambling around looking for a particular phrases. The passage topics were easier to work with too. Less like journal articles from Science, more like something you would read in TIME magazine.

Actually, all the sections you will see on the DAT will probably be easier than topscore with the exceptions of the PAT. Barrons has the best PAT section of all the books I checked out...although the rest of the book is worthless.

I was really stressed going into the DAT since I wasn't doing so hot an topscore but I ended up with a 21 bio, 23 gc, 20 oc, and a 22 PAT. I was scoring like 17-18 using topscore in the sciences.

One thing that makes the real DAT easier than topscore is that it you don't do much actual math in the science section. A lot of the answers on the DAT science test that deal with math are in the form of numbers plugged into an equation. This saves you a lot of time and you can't screw up by making mistakes on calculations, so if anyone is stressing over that kind of stuff (I was..I swear I might be dyslexic with numbers) don't worry about it. The calculations you DO need to make will be rediculously simple.

will do top score 2 tomorrow. I think you're doing well. everyone says top score sciences are a bit more difficult than the actual one. one my friends was getting AA of 19 on topscore, ended up with AA of 25.
as far as my achiever goes, ay ay ay...
achiever 1 bio:17 GC:21 OC:18 PAT:17 =>AA:17
achiever 2 bio:17 GC:15 OC:18 PAT:NA =>AA:17
achiever 3 bio:16 GC:17 OC:18 PAT:NA =>AA:NA

I think I'm beginning to forget Ochem. Achiever is different. it's alot of which of the following is correct type of questions, maybe 50% of them...
I know it's achiever, but do you guys think I'll be okay?

The only things I felt were harder than topscore was the reading, math, and pat. My orgo was just random crap. Not that it was harder than topscore, just not the same questions. I went down two pts in reading, 3 pts in math, and 2 in pat. But, if you're making 29's on practice you'll get AT LEAST at 25. My AA went up one point from my topscore 3 AA. I would say focus on QR. Study that and do more practice tests. I was getting 19's and only got a 16 on the real thing. 😱 Know your trig functions and how they are related. And work on word problems. Mine was loaded w/ word problems. Good luck, you will do fine.

Juju i think you're doing great on achiever, i mean, im scared to take it cause i heard 14's are normal...

m taking this thing in a week, and yes i think i do need to work on math. maybe ill do that tonight. just finished PAT 3 and got a 21. Even when i go over the answers, i still know i wouldnt have put it on the real thing, especially with angles. I only get 3-4 wrong, but hopefully the test wont suck too bad. I hate RC, and on Kaplan, was scoring like 20 on the tests. I was surprised to see my score with topscore, cause i didnt even review anything, i was like ehhh... ( i do that with all my Topscore test- like i think this last pat i still had 20 min and just ended it) im quick but not always right and make stupid mistakes....

don't worry, just learn how to do them. I've heard the probability problems and the type of problems asked on the real DAT is very close to topscore. as long as you see an example solved, you should be able to get by fast🙂

YEEEY, I got a 19 on RCT of acheiver 3!!! that made my day😛

btw, this seems like a thread of me and you posting our practice scores... good though, keeps me motivated to do the tests
