What's the total number of OB/GYN residency applicants? What's the total number of available spots? Thanks!

From what I understand (these are approximate values):
~800 US seniors applying
~1400 total applicants
~1150 positions offered in 2004
fill rate totally 93%, unfilled posts ~80

From the Washington University (St Louis) School of Medicine it shows OB/GYN going from an "intermediate" competitive specialty to a "low" competitive specialty over the last few years. Hope this helps.
