I'd like some opinions on my situation.
My overall GPA: 3.1
overall Science gpa: 3.2

Started undergrad and I was immature, taking classes even though I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I have a Bachelors in the Social Sciences.

School A: 2007-2011
overall gpa: 2.8
science gpa: 1.8
Bio 1: C-
Chem 1: C+
Chem 2: C-
Orgo 1: C-
Orgo 2: W

School B- Post-Bac: 2011- present
overall gpa: 3.95
science gpa: 3.94
Anat 1: A-
Anat 2: A
Bio 1: A
Bio 2: A
Phy 1: A
Phy 2: A
Orgo 2: W
English: A

I have 2 W's in Orgo 2. Because of the big gap I had between taking orgo 1 and orgo 2, I decided to withdraw again. I thought i could re-teach myself it but it just didn't work out.

I took the DAT and got an AA of 17, PAT 17. I started off studying good using Chads videos but then I got distracted and had to take care of family related issues which slowed my studies. I plan on retaking the test.

Im currently taking these classes at School B....
Genetics
Cell Bio
Medical Microbio
English (I'm taking the english to help boost my gpa)

1.) Are my chances ruined because of the two W's in Orgo 2?
2.) Will schools accept one or two C- or do I have to retake both classes?
3.) Should I focus on taking upper levels bios this year or focus on retaking the classes I did poorly in? Or should I retake the classes during the year I apply?

Thank you for your help. 🙂

wow a 1.8...never heard of one that low. But nice job on improvement. If the C-'s are in pre reqs then u have to retake. Other than that its not a big issue. Take high level, or even grad level, bio courses from now on, if u dont get accepted.

If your DAT was 20+ id say ud land a few interviews. Now its in the air...goodluck!
