TOURO-CA Rejection???

So I sent in my supplemental application on 12/4 and got a notice today (12/14) that my file is complete. Does this mean that I am heading towards rejection??? Based on the other posts, it seems like people either get invited to interview or put on some list (high-alternate, medium etc) 10-15 days after they turn in their supplemental. I only received a notice 😕🙁. Any one know what this might mean?

I'm guessing that since you sent it on the 4th, they got it a couple days later, but it wasn't opened, processed and the email update sent to you until today. It's only been a week since you sent it in. I'm sure you'll be fine.

i dont think anybody knows what it really means...but from the trends ive been seeing, people get interview invites within 2 weeks after submitting the supplemental. although i know of one sdn'er that got an interview invite after a month of hte supp submittion....so it could mean anything....

wait a few weeks before you start to worry😛

I have received a total of 5 notices of this variety now, and they have all led to interview invitations. Usually within a week or less after receiving the "file is complete" email, I have received an email or a letter in the mail offering an interview invitation. I think it is just standard practice for schools to inform you when they have received a complete application, and in my experience schools have been pretty quick in evaluating my application after receiving the complete file.

everyone receives the same notice from Touro, and it simply means what it says: that your file is complete. they will evaluate this file and either reject you or send you an invitation to the interview, after which you will either be wait-listed or accepted. there's lots of accepted people leaving for other schools, so chances of getting in are still high. there's actually a special Touro thread around here that you might be interested in... good luck!

I just came back from the interview on 12/14/07 they said that this week (tuesday) they will be sending out the acceptance/rejection letters and that they are going on break so tht could be the reason why it might take a while. They interview 10 at a time and my group was the last group before break so you will most likely hear from them after january 7 when they come back. they also gave a rough break down (rough numbers)

3000 apply -> 1500 invited for supplemental -> 400 interview -> 100 accepted but they accept 180 knowing that some will not attend.

They also say they continue interviews until all the seats are taken up so don't worry.

P.S. Very nice faculty, admissions guy very very friendly and the Dean was so chill and friendly I like the school (not campus tho its ugly) if only it was closer to my area it would be an easy decision (also if accepted its a 2000 deposit)

Hey Billy120, you have any advice specifically for Touro during the interview process? How should I prepare? I will have one too in early February.

What I did was go to the pharmacy school feedbacks and prepared to answer those questions. They asked those questions for sure. For my group they asked me

1) introduce urself, y touro, y pharmacy
2) what drawbacks do u see in pahrmacy
3) what will pharmacy be like in 5 years
4) y is meds so expensive here than other countries
4) teamwork question like if 1 person didnt work how did u handle it
5) last question wat u like to do for fun
