I am planning on attending Touro Manhattan campus starting this summer. I wanted to see who else is going to attend and if there's a facebook group or not. I am also looking to see where people are planning to live. I am not sure if living close to the school is the best option because the rent is very expensive.

I am also going to be attending Touro Manhattan. I tried starting a facebook group but it is requiring me to add friends before I can even start one. So I figured I will wait until we get together at the open house in mid-April. I am from california and not familiar with new york at all, so I am not quite sure where I want to live yet, but I do know I want to minimize my commute time as much as possible. Shoot me a PM and we can perhaps get a group going!

I will also be attending Touro Manhattan this coming summer. I already live in New York so if there is any way I can assist both of you in finding a place let me know! I'm down to get this Facebook group going.

Did any of you guys get accepted on a conditional basis meaning you haven't finjshed all your prereqs? I'm waiting to hear from Touro but the only classes I haven't take are the two Bios so I'm wondering if that could hurt my chances.

Can u post ur stats please I'm waiting to hear from them thanks!
If I remember correctly my overall GPA was 3.13, Pre-requisite ~ 3.6. GRE: Q159 V155 W3.5. My acceptance was on "conditional" basis, yes. But the conditions were sending the transcripts on time, being CPR and First Aid Certified, and some health forms. All of my pre-reqs were completed before I applied so I do not know how not having your bio classes completed hurts your chances. You can always try and contact the school though.

This is from a couple of weeks ago

I just got accepted into Touro Manhattan today. I want to let you guys who have low GPAs and not so great resumes that there is still hope.

University: Rutgers New Brunswick
Major: Exercise Science

Overall GPA: 3.42
Pre-Req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 2.73
GRE: 159 V, 159 Q, 3.0 W

Resume: Lifeguard during high school and college. 200 outpatient hours, 50 inpatients hours.

Applied: Des Moines University, Rutgers Newark, Duke, VCU, Florida Gulf, Stockton, Drexel, Temple, Touro-Nevada, Touro-NY, Hampton, NYIT, University of Miami, NOVA, University of the Sciences (PA).

Acceptances: Touro Manhattan - 3/13/15

Rejections: Everywhere else

I got a few Cs in science classes like Chem and Physics which brought my Science and Pre Req GPAs down. I wasn't sure if I would get in anywhere, but I got an acceptance email today from Touro. I just want to encourage everyone to not give up even if your stats are not great like mine. Apply early. Good luck everyone. God be praised.

Did anyone get accepted off waitlist? I just got put on it yesterday :nailbiting::nailbiting:

Finding an affordable living area in NYC is giving me so much anxiety. Especially as a measly student who has to worry about when the loan disbursement kicks in and apparently having to show my paystubs even though I only work part time on the books currently and my other job cash only and off the books. Just thinking about all this stuff is stressing me out.

How long after u submitted ur supplemental were u accepted? Could u also post ur stats? Thanks!

I'm still on waitlist, but if it helps:

2/17 - supplemental
4/8 - waitlisted

University: Cuny
Major: Biology
Overall GPA: 3.10
Pre-Req GPA: 3.15
GRE: 157 (Verbal) 158 (Quant) 3.5 (Analytical)

What were you actually told about being waitlisted? Did they give you any specifics like they latest you could know? Also, did you have all your Prereq courses done when you applied? Thanks

They wrote 'please be aware that changes in application status may occur up until the first day of class.'

I also asked if they let you know your waitlist position (they don't).

And yup, I had all their prereqs done for when I applied. Did you hear from them yet?
