Touro NY College of Pharmacy. No PCAT needed, 2.0 science gpa required?

Hi everyone... I just was just pondering about Touro College of Pharmacy NY. I saw that you don't need a PCAT to get into Touro (it is recommended) and you only need a minimum 2.5 overall gpa and 2.0 science gpa....
The Pharm D at touro is 4 years , 40 k a year...

I mean is this a red flag that touro doesn't have high standards...? I mean I remember someone saying, things that are worth having are not easy... What do you all think...?

2.0 is a red flag that's just sad but I think it's probably a lot more competitive than that.

Touro NY was my safety school and I was pretty unimpressed during the interview. They completely neglected to mention that they were on probation at the time and any student that didn't do their research beforehand would have had no idea. At the very least they should have touched on the topic and discussed what they were doing to improve.

well do I Have a chance to get in with a 3.35 overall and a 3.2 science gpa?

Yea I have a cumulative of 3.4 gpa and I got in I was set to go to touro but then I heard about the probation stuff so I withdrew. Like the guy above you said they do not mention that at all. But I heard they opened up their application till June.

I've interviewed and been to their open house. They are located in a not so great area of harlem and pride themselves on diversity of their students which is why the gpa requirement is so low. They have said their average acceptance GPA has been 3.1 or higher due to the caliber of applicants. I hope you get in somewhere. 🙂
