Hey everyone,
After reading through a thread about NYMC/Touro merger,

I did some more research about the "large influx of residencies" in 2012/2013 in NJ under the Touro OPTI (as DocEspana had pointed out).

Here is what I found:
These are only for the year 2013. But I couldn't find the ones for Holy Name and Englewood. Or the ones scheduled to open in 2012.

This is for those of us who are curious to know which specific programs are being started.

Any further info will be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Yea the residencies got moved back to 2013.

Palisades is the mother hospital for the residency, but its going to run through palisades, holy name, and meadowlands (might run through bergen regional too, but thats not been stated, I'm assuming there). Similar to how a residency at, say, St. John's Episcopal also rotates through Interfaith Hospital, South Nassau and some other hospital I forget in NJ. Often programs, like Palisades, that are applying for a number of residencies that seem too large for their patient flow are actually applying (as the case is here) to cover multiple hospitals resident needs.

Englewood's residency is through Mt. Sinai. They are looking to branch off and form their own residency because they have the patient flow for it, but for the moment the only way into englewood is to apply to a Sinai program.

P.S. I've never seen this website before. It's so cool. I've never bothered to read the e-mails for the Jersey sites (cause I'm in Queens), but thats a really pretty website they created.
