For people that are going to touro or are applying to touro, what do you guys think about the school? does it look at gpa closely?

Has anyone heard of toledo? What do you guys think about this school?

Thanks!!!

Touro doesn't require the PCAT, so I guess GPA might be weighted more than some schools. But the admissions commitee really seems to look for well-rounded applicants with good communication skills.

I attend the university of toledo. It is in northwest border of Ohio and Michigan. It's a good college.

Did you apply to toledo after you completed a bachelor's?

how was the interview at touro?

Thanks!!!🙂

Toledo, does some inhouse applying, i think if you try to get into the 3rd year you need to do a year there first. something like that. They dont let people just apply into the pharm d program from outside of UT. Correct me if im wrong anybody.

that is correct, you can not just apply to toledo you need to have at least 30 credit hours at the univeristy of TOLEDO to be able to apply to the Pharm D. So mostly it is inhouse, however students transfer in as 2nd year prepharmcy so that they can apply. there are alot of different rules. But most important is you cant apply to Univerity of Toledo unless you have attended it for 2 semesters. They have 105 seats currently first year prephamacy students are about 500. which should is not bad but the average gpa for accpeted students is about 3.8

I'm a 3rd Year at the University of Toledo.

You must attend for at least one semester (fall) before applying. You apply in December. You find out in April if you recieved a spot in the Pharm.D. program. So yes, you must take one year of pre-pharmacy at UT, but you can apply after only one semester.

The majority of students started their pre-pharmacy at UT. They have some good scholarships for in-state students. Tuition increases by $4000 (inexcess of standard tuition) for the 3rd and 4th years. Even more so for 5th and 6th (clerkships).

And yes, the average GPA was 3.80.

Last year Touro had group interviews that consisted of about 5 students and 2 faculty members. My interview was pretty laid back. The group interviews are in part supposed to reveal how well you work in a group and respect the opinions of others.

that's kinda scary to me. do you take turns speaking, raise hands or just jump in?

At me interview we just jumped in when we had something to say (for the most part). Except for the first question, where we went around the room in the order we were sitting in.

I have a problem of feeling that I'd be interrupting people in group interviews, but I don't want to seem passive either. I was in a group interview for a volunteer gig before, and me and a girl kept saying, "you go," "no, you go ahead," "it's okay..you first." 😱 Booooooooo.

This seems scary. how did you prepare for the group interview? i'm kinda shy.
