Hey there!

I was just accepted to Philadelphia University!!!!! I am so excited! If anyone has questions about the interview let me know and I would be glad to help!

But I had no idea that you had to send a deposit right away confirming your intent to enter the program. I still have 5 or so other interviews so how do I make a decision since I do not know if I will be offered to enter into the other programs. The 500 dollar deposit is non-refundable, which is a lot of money to loose! I guess in the long run with all my debt it will seem like nothing, yikes.

Also I have another question I have an interview at Touro University next week, does anyone know anything about this program. I am really interested in it because you get a masters in Public Health as well. However, I just downloaded all the rankings for PA schools through US news and noticed this program wasn't ranked. And to be honest that scares me. Also I was looking at their website and they are on provisional accreditation with ARC-PA. What does this mean? Could it be because they are a new program? How would I find out about the criteria they used for accreditation. Please help 🙂

ignore the us news rankings for pa schools. they only rank the graduate programs and this omits a lot of excellent programs like u. of wa/medex that have been around forever. touro has provisional status because their program is new. congrats on your admission. philadelphia university and touro are both middle tier programs by reputation so go where you want to live and can afford the tuition. for me this is a no brainer because I hate philly. I had to spend 3 yrs there for school and did not like the philly experience at all. my undergrad was in the bay area near touro and I found the area very pleasant year round with lots of stuff to do when not studying. also the pa/mph is a great combo and very marketable.
best of luck whatever you decide-e

Hey EMEDPA I have a question. I know a lot of PA programs require some clinical experience, but others dont. I know its good to have clinical experience prior to entering a program, but some people just dont have the hours some programs require. So here is my question, do you know which programs donot require clinical hours as a requirement to apply, I am speaking about all the USA programs.....

Thanks

Eduardo

don't try to get around the clinical requirement. get the hours.....any program that doesn't require clinical experiemce isn't worth attending...,,
