Touro : 4 years ,haven't accredited yet, Vallejo(ghetto , that's what I heard)
Utah : 3 years, fully accredied, Utah, ( sound like a countryside to me)
my question is : if you happen to decide between the four years and 3 years program, which one you prefer,
will 3 years program provide you with lots of clinical experiences and practice??

I wouldn't call the Utah campus country side. Its in South Jordan, a suburb of Salt Lake City.

Yeah, Touro is near the ghetto, not even gonna deny it. It's based in Harlem, but I've heard it's a good school, and there is so much culture in the Harlem area, so I guess that would help.

I don't know much about Utah, but 3 year programs are rougher. Pharmacy school is very different from undergrad because it's a lot of information being presented to you at one time, and doing it in 3 years and barely having any breaks will be an extra stress factor, but it's definitely possible. Plus, Utah is ranked number 16 in pharmacy school programs (if that really matters to you).

Whatever you choose, make sure it fits you! You're going to be there for 4 (or 3 years) and you want your pharmacy experience to be rich. Good luck:luck:

You've confused the University of Utah with the USN Utah campus. And btw, the "pharmacy school rankings" are based on little else but research dollars that is why usually only public state funded pharmacy schools ever show up on them.

Ah ok.. hence Utah "campus". Didn't know U of Southern Nevada had a Utah campus, interesting. Thanks for the heads up😳.

Oh, and I know all about school rankings, and how they are done, just thought I'd throw that out there if the OP was interested, but it doesn't matter haha. So, just out of curiosity, why does USN have a campus in Utah?

You'd have to ask Dr. Coffman or Rosenberg or Lacy at USN to get the best answer but here are some I've heard over the past few years:

1) Utah currently has a shortage of pharmacists (although this will likely end the next 5 years or so especially along the Wasatch Front and the St. George/Dixie area)
2) Many of the students that attended USN (when they only had their Henderson, Nevada campus) were from Utah
3) Utah only had one pharmacy school (i.e., the UofU) and it only takes about 45 students a year. So, besides USN many students from Utah who wanted to be pharmacists would go to Idaho State, Wyoming, Montana, the California schools, etc. to get their PharmD education
4) Governor Huntsman preferring to provide some tax breaks to USN and welcome them rather than put state dollars towards expanding the progam at the UofU
5) Walgreens needing to staff their Utah stores and wanting to expand their footprint in Utah
6) Pharmacy schools make $$$

note: all of us Utah natives (about 75% of the USN Utah class) that attend USN hope that USN will eventually change their name to adjust to their "multi-state/campus" status. There are few things more awkward than telling people "I attend the University of Southern Nevada Utah campus" - I guess the LECOM Bradenton students also get to deal with the confused looks people give them when they tell them where they attend pharmacy school.
