Hiiiii, first of all I want to say congratulations on finishing! I'm going in this fall and I'm sooo nervous. As expected, I'm totally aware it's rigorous coursework, after all it's classes first year med students take. But how bad would you say it truly was? Did you meet the 3.45 benchmark for the DO program? Thank you!!

Hi, thank you. It was definitely a grind, like literally everyday till the end of the program (other than the short winter break). But as long as you study everyday, keep up with the videos, and PRACTICE QUESTIONS you’ll be good. Yes I did meet it.

Hi! I’m also considering the MS program at Harlem. And was wondering how the class/weekly schedule was like? Are the classes Mon through Fri in the morning or spread out throughout the day? Thanks!

Higher credit classes were usually 2x a day (lecture and lab) and then the lower 3/4 credit classes were all on Friday. We had Mondays and Thursdays off for the most part

Thank you for responding!! Any tips on studying or how you studied? Did you still have time to do other things you enjoy?

Went through PowerPoints and made sure I understood the material. And practice questions are key. Anki helped for lab stuff. Yeah I would say there’s some time to do other things but limited.

Thanks for your response! I was also wondering if the grading curve was harsh or did you think it was fair compared to your raw scores?

Yes, very fair. They would find the MS class average for an exam and let’s say the average was 80 and had a SD of 10. 80 would be a B+, 85 would be an A-, 90 would be an A.

Hi I just got accepted to the MS program and I'm considering it. I have a few questions for you.
1. What resources did you use to study?
2. Did you use a premade Anki deck?
3. Did you use outside resources, if so which one?
4. What did you use for practice questions? Was it something Touro provided?
5. Did you apply to other schools while doing this program?

Also hypothetically if a third of the MS class meets the requirement, do all those people move on to the DO program? How does it work? I am asking because everyone in the program is probably working towards that goal so how do they differentiate who gets to move onto the DO program amongst the people who meet the criteria?

Thank you so much and Congratulations!

1. I used the class slides and practice quizzes/clicker questions.
2. Yes, initially, but I found making them myself to be more helpful.
3. Medicosis perfectionalis, ninja nerd, and some people used sketchy.
4. Touro provided.
5. No I didn't but other people did.

Whoever meets the 3.45 GPA gets in. But it's not a traditional grading system. You can refer to the grading on one of the comments above.

Thank you!

I am starting in the fall. Just curious as to what the class schedule is like.

This is what a typical week would look like without any exams.

Congratulations on completing the program and matriculating into the medical school!

I am starting the M.S. program this Fall and I am most concerned regarding the final exam. These are the questions I have:

Is it cumulative?
Did you feel well prepared with only the materials provided by Touro?
What was the grade needed to "pass?"

Other questions I have:

How many students from your class matriculated and how many total students were in the program that year?
Was the anatomy lab online? (If yes, did that make it more difficult, or was it just as easy to explore the structures?)
Did you ever go on campus for lectures, exams, etc?

Thank you in advance!

And again, congrats on the matriculation!!

Hi! does anyone know if you’d need to retake the MCAT for DO matriculation if you don’t have the DO acceptance minimum? or if you are in the program it doesn’t matter your MCAT once you get the 3.5?
