Can someone explain to me why A is correct vs C? I am having a hard time imagining this as a correct answer. Thanks!

Nevermind. I just realized my mistake. I assumed that v was only to the right but it can be in any direction as long as it is in the plane of the page. Got it. I need to slow down a little bit with these questions. They are tricky.
