Transcript entry issue (ADEA AADSAS application)

Hi all,

I am not sure if any of you, as Canadian applicant, faced this same problem as me.
But, the Canadian school that I have graduated from have unit credits (like 3 and 6)on the official transcript instead of semester hours credits. I have asked my school about the conversion ratio but the school doesn't seem to have something like 1 unit = 4 semester hours......

Did anyone have this same issue? If so, how did you find the equivalency or conversion ratio?

Just put whatever is on your transcript. Mine is also done by 3 credits / course so i just put it in like that.

Wait, really? I’m Canadian as well, and I was told to convert my credit system (0.5 for one semester course, 0.25 for lab credit) to a credit hour system (3 and 1.5 hours respectively).

I thought OP had a credit hour system. My school also doesnt do semester hours, so we dont have the 4/8 semester hour requirement notation. All my courses, with lab or not, or even if it is just a lab course, is 3 cr. I just put that onto my transcript entry.
I assumed thats what the OP meant, since they dont have the 0.5/0.25 thing you have. I'm just saying if you have the 3/6cr hr. system like I do, you dont have to convert it to 4/8 semester hours or anything, in my experience at least.

I wasn't referring to OP, i was referring to myself. My school gives credits based on 0.5 or 0.25. Should i put that on my aadsas or convert to something? I'm gonna call to investigate anyways

Yeah I can't really tell you anything about the 0.5 or 0.25 system, sorry. I just didnt do any conversion from my system. Calling would be a good idea.
