Transcript Got Lost In the Mail?

Hey,

My transcript was sent out on the 20th, and it still does not show up as recieved on the AADSAS transcript page. Could it just be taking a long time? I had my school resend it today just in case it was lost in the mail.

I also just e submitted my application today, and am very nervous that I am considered a late applicant, due to other SDN posts. I have good stats, but how much will my late application affect me.

LOL if we base everything off SDN, then everyone has 3.9 GPAs and 23 on the DAT. You're forgetting that SDN is just a small sample size of the people who apply, and generally the people who care more about dental school then most.

If you have good stats, then you're not late. You're more or less on time. If this was September or October, then I'd say you're late.

It's kind of strange that they haven't received your transcript yet however. I sent mine out around the same time and they said they got it on the 1st. Maybe your school takes awhile to process it. Either way, it should either show up in a couple days now. It's a good thing you resent a backup just in case.

Keep a close eye on your transcripts. I had to send mine 3 times over the course of 6 weeks. The third time I sent them FedEx (so I KNOW that they received it since they had to sign for it). It took about a week to show up on AADSAS even after they had received it. Since you sent yours only two weeks ago and being in the regular mail it probably took a while to get there, and about a week for them to record it. So within the next few days hopefully it should show up.

sent mine on the 25th (for the second time) and it still has not arrived. I sent the first on the 6th of July I believe. I called AADSAS and they said it takes 5-7 business days from the time it arrives to the time they actually mark it's arrived on AADSAS. Ridiculous.

I overnighted mine in, someone signed for it, AND THEN LOST IT. call them and give em hell

Mine took about 3 weeks to get in for regular mail for my university transcript. The "express" mail for cc took about 1.5 weeks.

same here, I have my ECE report sent by registered mail on the 22nd and it was received by someone in the AADSAS office on the 25th as I tracked my mail status on Fedex. I called the AADSAS twice, once on tuesday(the 7th business day) and once on thrusday, but they still said they have not received anything. Plus, the lady was so rude and impatient., they have serious attitude issue!

LOL that seems to be the trend as the cycle goes on. They were really nice when I called in June. But I guess the months of fielding phone calls has finally worn them down.

One of my prior colleges transcripts got lost in the mail... or whatever. I immedately went back to the school, got the tracript myself, and overnighted it. They got it and then mysteriously got the other copy a week later... It delayed my app a week so i guess not that big of a deal in the end. I am sure glad i toasted the DAT or i might be a little worried about a later application date....
