Hey guys,

I know that you're suppose to provide transcript from every school you attended. However, what if the grades are transferred to your university grades?? Does this mean, when filling out the transcript matching form you have to put the grades twice?? How does this work? I did my first 52 units or so at community college (most comprised of G.E courses).
Please let me know!

Thanks!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by transferred to your university grades. You took classes at a CC to fulfill certain GE courses for your major, but doesn't mean they are the same as taking it at a university. Although you will be getting credit for the courses toward your major, you still need to include the CC. Why would you put the class twice? The classes you have taken at the CC will not contribute toward your university GPA; all they will do is contribute toward completion of your req's. All you do is put your 52 units with the CC then the rest with the university ONCE and AADSAS will calculate your GPA and combine the two into one GPA.

That's the strange thing.
Those 52 units did contribute to my overall universe G.P.A

If so, do I have to fill the thing out twice?
Or should I fill out the cc one and neglect cc courses transferred on the university transcript??

hmmph, I guess I'm going to have to request an official transcript to verify this.

Any C.S.U students here know the answers to my question??

First, you have to send transcripts to AADSAS from all the schools you attended. Even if your GPA was combined in your new institution, AADSAS will need all the transcripts from your other schools.

Once you indicate the schools you attended, they will have a transcript matching form, which you need to print out and give to each school. Filll that out and send to each school to mail out your transcripts.

When you fill out your grades under "coursework," you write down the classes you took specific to each instutition. (this does not mean you indicate the transferred courses with the new school you attended) You must separate the two so the people working for AADSAS don't get confused. If you write your courses twice, they will get confused and it will further delay your application. Just make things simple, and write the courses you took in each school. AADSAS will calculate the combined gpa for you.

FYI, your calculated GPA will differ slightly on your AADSAS app than what you might have now.

I hope this helps! GOod luck!

Thanks! That was really helpful.
Anyhow, do you know if unofficial online transcript is sufficient enough to be used to fill out the application? Or should I go get a official ones?

Yes, you can use your unofficial transcript to fill out your coursework on AADSAS. However, you must have official transcripts sent to AADSAS to verify.

Make sure that the course description matches the course description on your unofficial transcript.

Good luck!!!
