Transcripts getting to AACOMAS

Hey guys,

A couple of questions about AACOMAS and getting transcripts sent there:

1) Not all of my transcripts arrived at AACOMAS yet (only 1 out of 4 is "Logged"). Is there a way to see the transcripts AACOMAS received once they are logged, and is there a way to cross-reference what they have to what you wrote out in your colleges/coursework? Keep in mind I have not submitted my application yet (is this a good idea? I figured I would wait until all transcripts were in, but if there's no reason to wait I will submit today).

2) 2/4 Transcript "requests" were from the same university, I just took two courses there at two completely different times. On my transcript request I asked for both courses to be sent on one transcript (I said for "last semester attended: summer 2010 & spring 2012"). However, the 1 request that is "Logged" on my app is the summer 2010 semester, and the spring 2012 one is still "Not Received." Should I contact AACOMAS, and will they directly tell me if both courses are on one transcript?

3) Repeated from above: Is there really a reason to wait for my transcripts to get to AACOMAS before applying (if indeed I can't see them or cross-reference them)? Or is it better to wait until all transcripts are in & MCAT scores are in (at least the ones I've taken) to submit (maybe faster verification time)?

You have to wait for your transcripts to get in before you can apply. Then you have to wait to be verified. As far as #1, the usually don't change much as far as transcripts, just the designation of the course (sci/non-sci, blah blah) If you are worried about whether they have recieved them or not you can always call or e-mail, but right now there may be some delay time because they are probably pretty busy.

If its been awhile since you have sent them trying giving aacomas a call. I sent one transcript two weeks ago and it hadnt been marked recieved. I called yesterday and it was there they just didnt mark it recieved. Now im complete and submitted.

You can submit your app before transcripts are in. AACOMAS just won't verfiy your app until everything is in.

You can pay/submit before all transcripts are in. I think it is a good idea to do this if everything else is complete. I submitted on the first day, but my last transcript didn't get there until 10am yesterday. I was verified by 1pm the same day, and I think it was so quick because the rest of my application had already been verified.

You can call them to see if they have your transcripts and just haven't uploaded them yet though. If you've been waiting long (more than 10 days from the time it was sent by your school), consider resending them overnight. That's what I did and I was verified less than 24 hours from the time I filled out the transcript request form at my school.
