has AACOM received anyone's transcripts????

I'm sure they havn't received mine yet. I just sent them thursday and friday of last week. Even so, they take 4 to 6 weeks to process. I wonder if they update your status when they receive your transcripts... did you call and ask them if they've received anything?

fyi - they wont start looking for your transcripts until you submit your accomas. i sent mine months in advance and they couldnt match it up until my application was finished. they wont contact you if they get it before you submit, and if you call they wont be able to tell you if they have it. at least this is the way it happened last year.

Chris, do you know if they'll hold them until I pay? I don't want to submit my application until my MCAT scores are released (~15th)...will I have to resend my transcripts then?

they will hold them, but they wont tell you they are there until you pay. so you could run into trouble if they happen to lose them (which i doubt, but im sure its possible)

last year they held on to my transcript for a month before i submitted. so dont worry, im sure you will be fine.

if you send all the shizzle in now, you're better off - even if you still have your PS to write. once it's all in and you submit ur application to AACOMAS you can always check which transcripts they got and stuff...AACOMAS was actually more efficient for me than AMCAS was last year. My gosh, AMCAS sucked last year - they were so unorganized and I had to resend some transcripts 3 times even. I didn't have my AMCAS app done until freakin' October while my AACOMAS was finished by August. Definitely better organized there I think.
