I didn't find any info on the ADEA website about transcript application deadlines.

In other words, how can I make sure that my transcripts are sent to ADEA on June 3rd!? They are being sent via snail mail...what happens if they get the transcripts before then, will they throw them away or keep them?

Bah!

Am I missing something? Are we allowed to send in our transcripts before June 3rd and just have the ADEA keep them "on hold" until they begin processing applications?

You can't send in your transcripts earlier than June 3rd. When you create your AADSAS application there will be a section for transcripts. In the section you will enter the universities you have attended and then you will have to print a transcript matching form specific to each school that will be sent along with a hard copy of your transcript.

but they have to be sent in by the registrar at the schools you attended along with the matching form. the matching form does not become available until june 3rd, right? so then...the transcripts will not be received by the ADEA until your school snail mails them out?

i just feel like i'm missing something, seems like there is a faster, more efficient way to get those official transcripts to the schools?

There isn't a faster way I'm sorry. My college was pretty quick with the turn around time, so they went out the same day, or the day after, but you are basically at the mercy of your registrar's office. It takes AADSAS like 4 weeks to verify your grades anyway though, so it isn't as if your application would be sent to schools June 3rd.

komradrobot, CALM DOWN! Everyone has to go through the same hoops that you do.

If you submit your app within the first month its open, I bet you will be just fine. I submitted by app by June 13ish. My application was sent in the first batch which was... JULY 14TH!! So if your transcripts (GASP!) get sent on June 10th instead of the 3rd, they will still probably make the first batch.

Make sure you don't have any holds on your school account or they will hold your transcripts hostage, fyi.

Like Psi mentioned, AADSAS mails out "batches" of applications to the schools.
So whether you do it on the first day or the tenth day, it will most likely be in the same first batch.

this is the difference among the batches though.
Usually, very feeew people hit the submit button in June. Say a 100.

Batch two... obviously more people hit the submit button (they are dealing with summer school, taking the dats, work, etc). Say 500.

the schools though, send out their invites by end July-August. SO its better being a 1/100 chance than a 1/500 chance 😀

so dont worry about turning it on day 1 -- because you cant.
just do your share --- print out the transcript form and hand it to your transcript office immediately after june 3rd, thats all!
