Hello all,

I have looked through the threads on transfer possibilities between dental schools...from what I gather it is very though.

However, does anyone know specifically if tranfer is possible between UCSF and UCLA? Since they are both state schools with a generally similiar curriculum it seems as if it would be possible.

I couldn't find any info on the UCLA website.

All info/suggestions are appreciated!

Hi, I m a student at ucla.
may i know what year and why do u want to transfer?

suggestion: you are better off at ucsf because you know ur faculty already and settle down. going to another sch is like starting all over again. it would be really really hard for you.

I will be starting at UCSF this fall (if I decide to attend). After much consideration my husband and I decided that it would be financially foolish for him to leave his job and start over in San Fran. I year of a long distance thing is ok, but I'm not sure how I feel about four years.

Since you are a student at UCLA now, can you tell me if you had any thransfers into your class and what there circumstances were?

Thanks!

wow thats a tough situation. maybe you should call ucla dental school admissions, ask and explain your situation.

definitely call both schools to get more info. i dont want to give u wrong info, since i dont have much info on this topic.

but i know sf has changed their curriculum, while i have no idea what ucla has changed or not, their curriculum is completely different.
