Hey Everyone,

I took Gen Chem, Gen Bio, and Anatomy at the University of Utah. I received C Grades in all of them. I later transferred to University of Texas in Austin and retook the exact same classes and got A's in them. My question is at the University of Utah Gen Bio and Anatomy were 3 credit classes and at University of Texas the classes were worth 4 credits. Will the grades at University of Texas replace the grades that are calculated into the BCPM GPA? I know that AACOMAS takes the higher grade, but does that apply even if I took the same course at two different schools?

Thanks!

AACOMAS does NOT take the highest grade; it takes the latest grade. So if you retook a class and did worse, you're stuck with that worse grade. 😉

Yes, the courses you took at the University of Texas will count as retakes of the courses you took at the University of Utah since they are worth at least the same amount of credits as the original courses.

Also, there's no BCPM GPA; math doesn't count, and a bunch of sciences do.
