Hey SDNers, I've read all the searchable threads about transfers and I've talked to as many folks at the med schools involved as possible, but one big question I'm left with is - what effect will transfering have on match possibilities?
The school I'll be tranfering into is pass/fail. They said my credits would transfer but that there would be no way to get an overall class ranking. So, if I were to up and decide to shoot for a competitive residency, I'd be doing it with a year 1 rank from one school, and then no overall ranking at a pass fail school from then on.
I think we are gonna transfer either way for family reasons... but, thought I'd see if anyone could tell me if it will be a hurdle we have to overcome, or no big deal.
