Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew a list of schools that would accept transfer out of USC 1st year. I am wondering this becasue if i get into another school next year, my fiance might want to come with me, therefore i am planning to apply to schools that accept transfers.

You are not the first USC student to want to leave and go to another dental school. The bad news is a lot of people have considered it but the answer is you really can't transfer dental schools in most cases, and with PBL's unique nature leaving USC is pretty much impossible. That's why it is so important to make the right choice in which dental school to go to the first time around. If you have any questions about USC's program PM me and I will help out.

We had a guy that transferred out of our school, but that rarely rarely rarely happens. Don't count on it...sorry!

While interviewing at ASDOH I vaguely remember students talking about some recent transfers from USC. Unfortunately I don't have any other information on the topic, but hopefully somebody else will.

You will just have to research/contact schools on an individual basis. I don't think there is any kind of list or account other than random anecdotal references... "my friend knew a guy who did that..."

You just have to try to transfer.
