Im a junior and want to go to medical school I just transfered to UC Davis in chemical engineering and was wondering is it to late to get into medical school since my gpa is low 2.9 or would it be better to change to a bio major that way I could finish a year earlier because of the course work thanks.

Nope! I graduated mechanical engineering with a 2.9 GPA and 160ish credits. I did a one year postbac with a 3.95 GPA and I've got two DO acceptances. My MCAT isn't all that great either and I'm not a URM. Just focus on getting a good upward trend and many schools (typically DO) will look past a weak overall GPA. Here is my WAMC post if you want any specifics.

DO - 3.16 cGPA 3.44 sGPA 505 MCAT

You don't need to change your major at all. As long as you do all the pre reqs you will be fine.

It's not too late at all and you should only change your major if you're not happy with it.
