i am considering transfering to the caribbean from a European medical school but don't know if it is the better choice, could ANYONE please offer some opinion or advice on this matter, maybe an experience you or someone you know has been through because of transfering.

how bad will this look later when i try to get a residency or license?
would i be able to get licensed in CA if the new school i trasfer is CA approved?

any help would be appreciated...thanks 🙂

i can answer one of your q's. if your current school is not cali approved and you transfer to a carib school that is cali approved then you won't be able to get licensed in cali because you didn't complete part of your education in a cali approved state. for this reason SGU doesn't take transfers. you might have licensing issues with other states that don't approve your current school right now. There are only 4 cali approved carib schools right now, SGU, AUC, SABA and ROSS. I know SGU doesn't take transfers, not sure about others but I am sure they wouldn't take transfers as well. So you'd probably have to start all over.

good luck.
