I transferred from foreign institution to one of the US universities and was awarded 39 transfer credits and it is showing up on the US transcript. But the US transcript does not show subject wise credits(39 credits show up in one line) and also does not show any grades awarded on the US transcript.

I have requested for transcript exception with credits transferred as they are showing up on the us transcript.

In AAMCAS application I am supposed to enter subject wise break up of the 39 credits. We get another transfer credit report from us university and it has the detail and the grade is TA meaning Transferred A in each of the subjects. Should I use the course numbers, grades from the transfer credit report. We are only sending US transcript but not transfer credit report to AAMC. AAMC will not be able to validate it because transcript exception is requested.

I was in the PASS/FAIL system in the foreign university and my foreign transcript shows as PASS on all the subjects.
My us transcript does not show any grade on the transcript
What grade should I use in the AAMC application.

PASS/FAIL or TA or A. Has anybody been in this situation. Planning to write to AAMC before filling it in AMCAS application.

Thanks

When listing independent foreign coursework that has been transferred to a US school, you:
1) list BOTH the foreign school and US school
2) list the courses under the foreign school as that is where you took them. I suggest you use your foreign transcript as guide
3) if you want you can list “A” as grade under the foreign school
4) get transcript exception for this school
5) Do not list these transferred courses on under the US school
6) AMCAS will not verify any foreign courses nor transferred grades
7) these foreign grades will not be part of AMCAS GPA calculation
8) make sure you have official foreign transcript, official evaluation service report, and US transfer credit report as individual med schools may ask for them

followed 1),
2) As you said will use foreign transcript as guide. It has PASS/FAIL
3). Will use PASS as a grade acquired.
4). Done
5). Correct
6). agreed
7). Correct
8). My Us school has given me a transfer credit report. foreign transcript + us school transfer credit report should suffice the requirement.
