Transferring for 3rd year

I'm a 2nd year med student at a, well, lower-ranked US med school. Does anyone have any experience (personal or anecdotal) about transferring med schools for no other reason than trying to get to a better school?

Doc,
You need to contact the schools you are interested in transferring to. Some places don't take transfers period, some only take transfers is you are married to a student or faculty member.
