So after my first year at my current college i'm planning on transfering to another state school because my parents just moved and i do not want to be 12 hours away from them, also i really don't love my current school. Anyway I was curious if my gpa from this year would still apply to my overall gpa that the med schools see. I'm curious because my grades aren't that great, just over a 3.5 due to some personal reasons that have really made it hard for me to stay motivated about school, or anything really. But i feel as if once i transfer and get myself fixed up i could pull a gpa much closer to a 4.0. My only pre reqs left are o chem, a semester of biology and my physics. Thanks in advance!

I don't want to start a new thread just for this question so i'll just ask it here.
Without going into too many details that i don't feel like sharing I've been depressed for as long as i can remember. It runs in my family on both sides, my grandfather committed suicide just a few months ago, and has been affecting me off and on for years. It's gotten to the point where it's really screwing my school work over and i'm sick of dealing with it when theres no real reason for it except the typical whiny complaints of a white suburban kid I'm getting ready to start treatment for it once the quarter ends but i'm concerned about how its going to look in terms of my chances for getting into a medical school, along with other carear paths. Also i'm withdrawing from my math class this quarter because not only is the best grade i could get is a b- but i simply cannot handle it all right now.
