Does anyone know if it is at all possible to transfer dental schools in the middle of your education?

Ya, I have a buddy that is transferring out of our class. It was not an easy feat.

Did they transfer for personal reasons?

Someone left our class but he was caught cheating. I believe he transferred.

If you get booted for cheating, I doubt you will be accepted into another program

This question has been addressed numerous times here on the boards. It's VERY difficult to transfer from one school to another unless the curriculum is similar and you have a convincing reason.

It happens. I have heard of students who got the boot from UB and later resurfaced at the DDS factory downstate. Heard about it at other places too. But if dental admissions is getting so much more competitive, it's probably more unlikely to happen now.

I know two people that transferred to Marquette. I have heard of no other schools receiving a transfer student.
