Transition year vs. DO internship

Between a 'transtion year' and a 'traditional DO rotating internship' what are are the differences? As far as:

-Call?
-Avg. hours/week?
-Quality of training?
-Time spent in the various specialities?

At my hospital the DO interns are the kings of cushness with only 2 months of call -- compared with the "brutal" 4 months that the TY interns are subjeced to.
