Hi,

I just wanted to see how many Transitional/Preliminary Year programs should I apply for if I am also applying for dermatology?

Also, if a program has both Preliminary Year and TY offered, can I or should I apply to both of them at the same program? Would the program coordinator talk to each other and let this be in my disadvantage?

Thanks!

If ERAS application fees haven't changed, I believe you have to pay twice to apply for transitional and then prelim but it buys you 10 prelims and 10 transitional programs. You can certainly get your money's worth and apply to 20 but 5-10 should be more tha n enough. Which program has a prelim and TY? I would assume if they offer both then you should be able to apply to both without any issues.
