Did anyone receive an interview invitation from any transitional programs ? How many programs should I apply? (more or less than 15) I haven't heard anything from any programs yet? No rejection, no interview so far

Are you competitive? Bear in mind that transitional spots are very competitive because everyone doing a ROAD specialty is going to want one, as they tend to provide a more cushy lifestyle than preliminary year programs. So applying to many is probably a good idea. It's still too early to worry much about hearing from programs, many sit idle until October.

Are you competitive? So applying to many is probably a good idea. It's still too early to worry much about hearing from programs, many sit idle until October.

Although many do sit idle until October, I have heard of at least 3 that are already offering interviews. Not to worry though because it is still very early!
